Reel Voices of Newcomer Youth

The 2nd Annual YMCA Voices Film Festival took place on March 18, 2010 at the Metro-Central YMCA. Attended by close to 200 people, the festival provided a look into the minds of immigrant youth filmmakers as they explore the challenges and rewards of moving to a new country.

The event showcased 13 young filmmakers, ages 14 to 23, from the nations of Belarus, Colombia, China, Indonesia, Iran, the Philippines and Zimbabwe, as they told their stories using the visual medium of film. The festival also featured Judy Jiao and Raymond Ablack, stars of CTV's international hit series, Degrassi: The Next Generation, as co-hosts.

Tee It Up for Strong Kids

Help build strong kids by taking part in the 10th annual YMCA Strong Kids Golf Tournament. You can be a vital part of this great event by becoming a sponsor as well as a golfer. All proceeds support the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, allowing kids to participate in life-enhancing programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body.

Join us for a fun-filled day on the greens at prestigious Angus Glen, followed by dinner.
